Another Day, Another Democrat Arrested And Facing Massive Scandal

Democrats have been quick to point out lately that scandals and criminal misconduct from politicians are not specific to one party. Yes, that’s technically true. Both parties have problems. However, lately, it’s been mostly Democrats that are running for cover following Ronan Farrow’s Harvey Weinstein bombshell.

Al Franken, Conyers, Sen. Menendez, Matt Lauer, and the liberals in Hollywood, Washington, and the media have had a really rough go.

Now, yet another Democrat is going down for some pretty serious problems.

From The Daily Caller:

Former Massachusetts state Sen. Brian Joyce was arrested and charged with running his office as a “criminal enterprise” Friday, and is now facing a 113 count indictment from the federal government.

Joyce is reported to have gained $1 million through bribes and kickbacks and has also been charged with racketeering, extortion, honest services fraud, money laundering, and conspiracy to defraud the IRS, according to Newsweek.

The 55-year-old Democrat was taken into custody by the FBI after a two-year investigation and was found to have accepted “hundreds of pounds” of Dunkin Doughnuts coffee, after he pulled strings for a local franchise owner, Newsweek reports.

Here’s more.

From CBS News:

Former Massachusetts state Sen. Brian Joyce was arrested Friday and accused in a federal indictment of using his office for personal profit. Court documents allege Joyce, a Democrat from Milton, schemed to defraud the state by “conspiring to accept and accepting a stream of concealed bribes and kickbacks from private individuals,” in exchange for official actions as a senator.

The 104-page indictment includes a number of charges including racketeering, extortion, wire fraud and money laundering. Joyce “violated the public’s trust” and “decided to take the path of greed,” federal law enforcement officials said, CBS Boston reported.

Joyce, 55, was expected to appear before a federal magistrate later in the day. His attorney, Howard Cooper, said was he was “reviewing the charges.”

Joyce’s law office in Canton was raided by the FBI in February 2016 in what was then described as “court-authorized activity in connection with an ongoing federal investigation.” Cooper said at the time that Joyce was cooperating and believed he had done nothing wrong.

Another Democrat bites the dust.

You’re never glad when something like this happens but when it starts to get so out of control like it is with Democrats you can’t help but just laugh.

Don’t expect things to get better for liberals anytime soon.

In fact, you can expect more bombshells.

From Townhall:

Americans were rightfully outraged when they learned that members of Congress had used taxpayer dollars to pay settlement claims to alleged victims of sexual harassment.

They were even more outraged when they saw the numbers. The secret payouts for harassment claims, of which there have been more than 200, amounted to more than $17 million. There’s no telling so far how much of that money went to silence sexual assault accusers.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) is seeking to release the names of lawmakers who used this “hush fund.” She’s a co-sponsor of the Congressional Accountability and Hush Fund Elimination Act, which would require full disclosure of the settlements within 30 days.

Sounds good to me.

Let all the names out. Why not?

Drain the swamp on both sides of the aisle.
