Chris Matthews Found A Way To Blame Trump’s Jerusalem Statement On ‘Crazy’ Christians And Roy Moore

We need to just come out and say it.  Donald Trump is already the greatest friend to Israel since President Truman.  I mean, that’s not at all a stretch and his first term isn’t even halfway done.  In case you missed it, Trump recently made the bold and intelligent decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and move the U.S. embassy there.

From Fox News:

President Trump on Wednesday formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, saying it’s time to “acknowledge the obvious” as he ordered the State Department to begin moving the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

“I have determined that it is time to officially recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel,” the president said during a speech in the Diplomatic Reception Room of the White House.

The move fulfills a campaign promise made to religious conservatives. But it could also inflame tensions across the Middle East.

“This is nothing more or less than a recognition of reality,” Trump said. “It is also the right thing to do. It’s something that has to be done.”

He’s correct.

Ben Shapiro explained it perfectly.

The liberal left, like always, pretended this is the end of the world.

Chris Matthews even found a way to bash Christians for being stupid.

It was a pretty outrageous display of stupidity.

From Breitbart:

Matthews said, “Deaths are coming now because of this. You can just bet the next few weeks we’ll have hell to pay for this totally erratic decision by this president. Every party who has had the White House since 48 has recognized you have to be careful over there.”

He added, “Don’t think this isn’t related to Alabama next week. It is related. Because it’s the Christian Evangelicals down there with their crazy ideas about Israel which is, I don’t know, mythical. They don’t understand the situation over there, how tricky it is ethnically and tribally. They don’t care because it’s a religious belief. Trump is playing into that this week you watch him.”

Yeah, that’s right. This decision was made because of Roy Moore. Not because of thousands of years of history or common sense. Good job, Chris.  It’s pretty wild that people like this get paid to be on television.

Democrats seem to be ignoring a huge aspect of this situation.

Don’t they understand that ‘Palestinians’ threatening violence over this move are actually proving that they have no interest in peace?

Exactly.

Why in the world are we pretending like Arabs in the Middle East have any real desire for peace? They won’t be happy until Israel doesn’t exist anymore and anyone with a basic grasp on history knows that.  This really just shows you that MSNBC isn’t paying attention. They just hate Trump no matter what he does. We should be applauding this decision. Obama used to talk about Jerusalem being the capital. Schumer agreed that it was today. Congress agreed it was in the 1990s when they passed the original measure that Trump pulled the trigger on.  The difference is that Trump had the courage to actually do it.  That’s a fact whether you like him or not.
