Rand Paul Having Problems Breathing — Finally Breaks Silence on Attack

Kentucky junior Sen. Rand Paul suffered six broken ribs when he was tackled to the ground by a crazed neighbor.

In court, the man who attacked Paul pleaded ‘not guilty,’ per CNN:

The man who allegedly assaulted GOP Sen. Rand Paul outside his Kentucky residence pleaded not guilty Thursday to misdemeanor assault in the fourth degree at his arraignment in Bowling Green.

Rene Boucher allegedly tackled Paul, breaking six of his ribs and sustaining bruised lungs. There was no change to the charges and no change in bond.

Boucher’s attorney told CNN that Paul has hired a personal injury attorney to file a claim for damages against his client.

When pressed for a motive, attorney Matt Baker told CNN’s Drew Griffin that “we should believe” Jim Skaggs, the developer and neighbor who sold both men their homes.

More, via WHAS11:

Doug Stafford, Senior Advisor to Sen. Paul, released the following statement:

“Last week Senator Paul was vigorously assaulted by someone in his neighborhood. This is a serious criminal matter involving serious injury, and is being handled by local and federal authorities. As to reports of a longstanding dispute with the attacker, the Pauls have had no conversations with him in many years. The first “conversation” with the attacker came after Sen. Paul’s ribs were broken. This was not a “fight”, it was a blindside, violent attack by a disturbed person. Anyone claiming otherwise is simply uninformed or seeking media attention.”

Now, Paul says he’s having trouble breathing, via Daily Wire:

Ten days after being attacked by his Democrat neighbor, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) now says he is having problems breathing from the six-broken ribs and damaged lung he received during the attack.

Paul told the Washington Examiner’s Paul Bedard that he does not know what sparked the violent attack.

“From my perspective, I’m not really too concerned about what someone’s motive is. I’m just concerned that I was attacked from the back and somebody broke six of my ribs and gave me a damaged lung where at least for now I have trouble speaking and breathing and now I’ve hurt for 10 days,” Paul said.

Paul sent this message yesterday:

More from Paul…

From Daily Caller:

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul spoke out on Monday for the first time since being attacked by his neighbor 10 days ago, saying in an interview that there’s “no justification” for the attack.

Paul’s socialist neighbor, Rene Boucher, tackled Paul from behind while he was mowing his lawn, leaving Paul with six broken ribs. Boucher has said the attack was over a “trivial matter.”

“From my perspective, I’m not really too concerned about what someone’s motive is,” Paul told the Washington Examiner. “I’m just concerned that I was attacked from the back and somebody broke six of my ribs and gave me a damaged lung where at least for now I have trouble speaking and breathing and now I’ve hurt for 10 days.”

Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise was nearly killed by a Bernie Sanders-supporting radical goon months ago.

It’s open season on Congressional Republicans and the MSM is dead silent.

Was Paul’s attacker a fan of President Trump? Nope.

He is an avowed socialist. Go figure.

From Daily Caller:

The man responsible for attacking Sen. Rand Paul Friday afternoon was an avowed liberal who frequently fought with his neighbors about politics, according to a report Sunday from The Washington Post.

Local citizens say Rene Boucher, the 59-year-old man who assaulted Paul, was a socialist who frequently fought with neighbors about health care policies and other liberal issues. Boucher and Paul, a Republican from Kentucky, are on the opposite end of the political spectrum, they told reporters.

Jeff Jones, a registered nurse who worked with Boucher at the Bowling Green Medical Center, described Paul’s attacker’s politics as “liberal.”

“He was active on social media and said some negative things about the Republican agenda,” Jones said of Boucher, a Bowling Green, Ky., citizen who lives in the same gated community as Paul. “I think it was unfortunate that they lived so close together.”

Boucher is a divorced socialist who is “pretty much the opposite of Rand Paul in every way,” Jim Bullington, a former member of the city commission who knows both men well, told reporters Sunday.

Progressives keep spouting the lie that Trump and his supporters are fascists, yet the far left continues to enact violence on Republicans at every turn.

They’re aim? To make conservatives bend to their will.

Who are the true fascists in America today? Cut the BS!

The problem is that the Socialist Democrat Party has the mainstream media on their side.

As long as that is the case, Republicans will be painted as the bad guys.

Paul’s injuries were far worse than initially reported. He has lung contusions, or bruises, caused by the broken ribs, Doug Stafford, Paul’s chief of staff, said in a statement Sunday. The type of fractures the senator sustained can cause other significant medical problems, including internal bleeding and pneumonia.

The liberal mainstream media reported Paul suffered ‘minor’ injuries.

Wrong.

One person notes Paul’s injuries can be ‘life threatening.’

Shame.
